Multiple boys and girls teams advance to Round of 16 in FYSA Region Cup
Over the weekend, 15 OCYS teams ventured into the next round of the statewide tournament, including six boys and nine girl teams. The Lions had several teams advance in multiple age groups – accounting for nearly 20 percent of the Round of 16 pool for the U-11 and U-12 brackets – continuing the Club’s success in the Region Cup.
“To have this many teams advance into the next round for the second straight year is a great representation of the Club’s emphasis on player development in all areas,” said OCYS Executive Director Stephen Rammel. “There’s a lot of work left to do, but we’re all very proud of our players, parents and coaches for a accomplishing this feat in the opening round.”
