After playing all six of their 2022 U.S. Open Cup matches from the confines of Exploria Stadium en route to the title, Orlando City opens 2023 play on Tuesday on the road. The Lions will travel to face fellow MLS opponent Charlotte FC in a 7 p.m. ET kickoff at Mecklenburg County Sportsplex at Matthews.

The Lions begin their 2023 Open Cup run as reigning champions after winning the 2022 edition of the competition. City took down USL side Sacramento Republic FC 3-0 in the final to claim the club’s first trophy in its MLS era.
