Both teams are coming off weekend games in MLS-- Montreal travelled to Orlando to earn a 3-3 draw and Toronto earned a comfortable 2-0 victory at home against D.C United. Toronto FC are looking for back-to-back Canadian Championship titles. Montreal is looking to win the tournament for the first time since 2014.

San Diego Set SoccerCity Vote For 2018
San Diego has set the vote for SoccerCity, the plan to develop Qualcomm Stadium into a site with a soccer stadium in addition to housing and retail, for the November general election in 2018. This vote comes a year later than San Diego soccer fans were hoping for, but San Diego’s City Council believes the decision will draw a higher voter turnout than a special election. San Diego is one of the 12 cities vying for four MLS expansion spots.
