Kei Kamara scores twice widening the Golden Boot race
Columbus Crew SC forward Kei Kamara has been no stranger to scoring goals this season. The Sierra Leonean striker scored twice this past weekend against the Philadelphia Union, giving him his 19th and 20th goal of the season. Kamara now leads the Golden Boot race ahead of Toronto FC midfielder Sebastian Giovinco, who has 17 goals on the season.

Canada to play Ghana on October 13th in Washington D.C according to reports
According to a report from the French newspaper L’Equipe, Canada’s Men’s National Team will face Ghana on Oct. 13th at RFK Stadium in Washington DC. This match would be in preparation for the fourth round of FIFA World Cup qualifiers which begins in early November.

MLS Commissioner Don Garber believes MLS is more competitive that The Premier League
Don Garber spoke to reporters during Soccerex last week in Manchester, England stating that he believes MLS is a more competitive league than the Barclay’s Premier League. Since the Premier League was established in 1992, only five teams have claimed the title at the end of the season. Garber believes that every team has a chance to win the MLS Cup at the end of season, unlike the Premier League, which makes MLS more competitive.
