Red Cards Ruining the Season?
So far this season, MLS refs have handed out 16 red cards during the first 42 games, up from prior seasons and the second highest rate in 15 years. LA Galaxy manager Bruce Arena said the crackdown was "ruining" the season. In recent seasons, the amount of red cards handed out in the early weeks has been on a steady incline.
