As an Orlando Pride fan, what are you most thankful for this year? Ashlyn Harris’ monster saves? Tom Sermanni’s candid post-game interviews? Jasmyne Spencer’s fast feet? We’ve compiled a list of all the things we are grateful for this year.
Kristen Edmonds Goals
Edmonds scored six of them this year, enough to make her the top goal-scorer for the Pride this season and earn a national team call-up. She always makes them beautiful and she always makes them count. Just ask the Boston Breakers.
Ashlyn Harris
She’s like a brick wall. With 62 saves this season, she earned NWSL Goalkeeper of the Year and kept the Pride in more than one crucial match. She’s like a ninja between the posts, and she always takes time to say hi to her fans after the game.
Jasmyne Spencer’s Fast Feet
Blink and you’ll miss her. Spencer’s speed has allowed her to get behind defenses and up the field swiftly, creating goal-scoring opportunities for the Pride. Before you know it, she’s offering up an assist or knocking one back into the net herself.
Sharks
Whatever keeps Ashlyn happy…
Tom Sermanni
Tom Sermanni’s candid post-game press conferences and strong relationship with the fans make him unlike any other coach in the NWSL. He takes the time to talk with us openly and honestly about where the team is and where they are going. Sermanni is a legend on and off the field, and we’re thankful to call him our head coach.
