ORLANDO, Fla. (July 20, 2018) - Grace Bowman of XL Soccer has been selected as Orlando City’s Community MVP to represent the Club in the MLS WORKS Community MVP Contest.
Through Bowman, XL Soccer World supports Kicking Kids’ Cancer, a non-profit organization with a mission of funding clinical research with the hopes of finding a cure for childhood cancer. Since 2013, XL Soccer has fundraised over $160,000 for Kicking Kids’ Cancer and in 2017 the XL Soccer World Research Grant was funded. The $50,000 grant supports innovative research into children’s brain cancer at the Children’s of Alabama Hospital.
Bowman will represent Orlando City at the 2018 MLS All-Star Game in Atlanta, where the winner of the MLS WORKS Community MVP Contest will be announced. The Grand Prize Winner, determined by an online vote, will receive a $25,000 donation to their respective charity. Voting is live now online at https://mlsworkscmvp.com.
