With the International break now upon us, two Orlando City players will be heading to represent their countries on the big stage.
Yoshimar Yotún was called-up to the Peru National Team as they prepare for the World Cup. Peru will take on Croatia this Friday at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami before heading north to face Iceland at Red Bull Arena in New Jersey. Yotún has 69 caps with Peru and will likely get his first World Cup action this June.
Justin Meram was called-up to the Iraq National team for a pair of international friendlies. They will face Qatar on Wednesday before taking on Syria next Tuesday. Meram has 14 caps for Iraq. He wrote about why he plays for Iraq in a recent Players’ Tribune article.
Orlando City will return from the international break on March 31st when they host the New York Red Bulls at Orlando City Stadium.
