Key Transactions

The Courage entered the Fall Series without some of their familiar star power, most notably U.S. WNT midfielder Sam Mewis, who signed a contract with Manchester City prior to the competition. Midfielder Denise O’Sullivan is currently on loan at Brighton & Hove Albion, while both Lindsey Agnew and Hailie Mace have been loaned to Swedish clubs Kif Örebro and Kristianstads DFF, respectively. To round out the list of those missing for the Courage, Jaelene Daniels, Crystal Dunn, Abby Erceg, Kristen Hamilton, and Jessica McDonald all elected to opt out of the Fall Series.

Recent Form

The Courage hold a 1-1-1 record throughout the Fall Series, with their most recent fixture resulting in a 4-1 loss to the 2020 NWSL Challenge Cup Champion Houston Dash on Sunday, Oct. 4. Prior to that, the Courage battled to a scoreless draw with the Pride after opening the competition with a 4-3 victory over the Dash in a seven-goal thriller on Sept. 12.

Who’s Hot

Debinha and Lynn Williams sit tied for the team lead in goals scored for the Courage throughout the Fall Series, both with two apiece in the competition. U.S. WNT defender Abby Dahlkemper rounds out the Courage’s five goals in the Fall Series with one finish to her credit, while four members of the side are tied for the team lead in assists at one each.

Head-to-Head

The Pride holds a 2-7-1 record against Saturday’s opposition throughout all competitions in its history, its most recent matchup resulting in a scoreless draw in Orlando's Fall Series opener on Sept. 19. That match saw five players make their NWSL debuts, while goalkeeper Ashlyn Harris registered four saves en route to her first shutout of 2020.

Rasmussen College Fun Fact

Saturday’s match will serve as the Pride’s first at Exploria Stadium of the calendar year, their last match in downtown Orlando taking place on October 12, 2019. That game served as the Club’s first-ever Breast Cancer Awareness Match and saw Pride defender Toni Pressley take the field for the first time after receiving treatment for breast cancer herself. The Pride will once again pay homage to Breast Cancer Awareness Month on Saturday, wearing BCA warm-up tops that will be raffled off after the match.
