Know Your Opponent | Chicago Red Stars

Who’s Hot

The obvious answer here is, Sam Kerr. The only person to score in the last five matches for Chicago. One of those was a hat-trick so the Pride defense will have to be on point. On the other end of the pitch, Chicago has managed to hold their opponents to 25 goals against on the year. That's the fourth best defensive record in the NWSL.

Who’s Not

The fact that Sam Kerr is the only person to meet the back of the net in the last five matches isn’t a great look for the Red Stars attack but the Pride can’t focus solely on that. We’re battling for the final playoff spot and it’s an everything goes mentality going into this one for both sides.

Recent Team Form

Chicago is winless in its last three matches and coming off of what could’ve been a big three points for them but they conceded two late goals and allowed an equalizer to lessen the result.

Head-to-Head

The Pride are 2-4-1 all-time against the Red Stars. The two meetings of 2018 season have ended with dominant wins. This is the first time the Pride will take on Chicago in their own house this year and it’s the most important match on the season for the Pride. This is a must win and every point is needed at this point in the playoff run so let's hope for a three-peat.
