Racing Louisville’s Lynn Family Stadium was recently named as the new host venue for the 2021 NWSL Championship Match which will take place November 20th in a 12 p.m. ET kickoff. Louisville has added many international talents this season, including leading scorer for the club, Ebony Salmon. Salmon joined Louisville after a previous stint with Bristol City in the Women’s Super League in England and has appeared for the Lionesses on the international stage.

Racing Louisville is coming off a 3-0 defeat at Audi Field against the Washington Spirit on Saturday. Louisville has not scored more than one goal in a match since Aug. 8 when the team scored three goals over Kansas City in a match that also served as the last victory for the side.

Louisville traveled to downtown Orlando on Sept. 11, where the Pride struck first in the 30th minute and again in the 34th minute courtesy of Sydney Leroux and Marta. Louisville managed to pull one back in the 51st minute, but Alex Morgan scored in the 65th minute, extending the lead and securing the 3-1 victory.

Racing Louisville is closely connected to the Orlando City Soccer Club family. After the Pride’s brother side, Orlando City SC, moved to Major League Soccer from the United Soccer League (USL), the franchise’s USL rights were transferred to become is now Louisville City FC, Racing’s male counterpart. The “Estopinal End” at Lynn Family Stadium is dedicated to LouCity founder, the late Wayne Estopinal, who was also a founding owner of Orlando City SC.
