ORLANDO, Fla. (Oct. 18, 2025) – Orlando City SC (14-9-11, 53 points) fell 4-2 to Toronto FC (6-14-14, 32 points) on Saturday night at BMO Field in its final regular season match. With the result, Orlando City will face Chicago Fire FC on the road in a 2025 Audi MLS Cup Playoffs Wild Card game on Wednesday, October 22. Additional details will be announced by the league following the conclusion of all Decision Day matches tonight.

An early goal from Jonathan Osorio and brace from Djordje Mihailovic put Toronto ahead 3-0 by the 48th minute. David Brekalo and Duncan McGuire found the back of the net for the Lions as they outshot Toronto 31 to 12 and forced goalkeeper Sean Johnson to make eight saves on the night, but were ultimately unable to flip the deficit and prevent their first loss at BMO Stadium under Oscar Pareja’s tenure.

Scoring Summary:

7’ Jonathan Osorio (José Cifuentes) – TOR 1, ORL 0

34’ Djordje Mihailovic – TOR 2, ORL 0

48’ Djordje Mihailovic (Theo Corbeanu) – TOR 3, ORL 0

54’ David Brekalo (Marco Pašalić) – TOR 3, ORL 1

61’ Deandre Kerr (Derrick Etienne Jr., Djordje Mihailovic) – TOR 4, ORL 1

90+2’ Duncan McGuire (Alex Freeman) - TOR 4, ORL 2

Head Coach Oscar Pareja:

“The disappointment is obvious because the performance was not good at all. We need to go and face this worst scenario on paper. We’re there and we will recover from this moment, and we will be ready for that [Audi MLS Cup Playoffs Wild Card] game on Wednesday. It is a tough night, for sure, because there were a bunch of things that we didn't do good and the way we concede the goals, the way we manage, and also from me, obviously, responsibility on the movements and preparation. But overall, I have to rescue that the boys were pushing their hardest, they were giving all their energy just trying to equalize, and unfortunately, tonight it was not bouncing our way at all.”
