ORLANDO, Fla. -- 2025 starts with a bang for the Orlando Pride!
Just seven minutes into their title defense, the Pride scored their fastest-ever goal in a home opener, courtesy of Haley McCutcheon.
After only scoring two goals last year, both in the playoffs and one against Chicago in the first round, McCutcheon got on the end of a loose ball in the box and, after cutting to her left, ripped a frozen rope towards goal and beating Alyssa Naeher on the near post.
It's just her fourth goal in a Pride uniform, but considering three of those have come in her last four matches, it's safe to say she's got her scoring boots on.
