ORLANDO, Fla. -- Welcome to Orlando, Marco Pašalić!
After joining the club this offseason, it took only eight minutes for the newest Orlando City SC Designated Player to get on the scoresheet.
After another newcomer, Eduard Atuesta, passed the ball to MartÃn Ojeda, the Argentine found PaÅ¡alić in stride into the box. After just two dribbles, the Croatian fired a left-footed strike towards the near-post, beating Andre Blake to open up the scoring for 2025.
The goal was also the fastest goal in any of the 11 Orlando City home openers in the MLS era and the fastest goal in an MLS debut in Orlando City's history, beating Daryl Dike's previous record when he scored in the 17th minute against Inter Miami on 8/22/2020.
