ORLANDO – February 17, 2015 – Orlando City Youth Soccer (OCYS) Striker Nathaniel Adamolekun has been called up to the U-17 Jamaica Men’s National Team for the CONCACAF Championship, beginning on February 27, 2015, in Honduras.

“We’re very proud of Nathaniel for receiving this call up from the Jamaican Federation,” said Orlando City Academy Coach Jeff Negalha. “Playing consistently at the national team level is an important part of player development, and we wish him nothing but the best in the CONCACAF Championship.”

“Nathaniel Adamolekun, he is definitely a goal-scoring person and one who creates a lot of chances for his team, and he will complement the existing strikers we have quite nicely,” said U-17 Jamaica Men’s National Team Head Coach Andrew Edwards. “He adds a different dimension as well, and at 6'3", with the pace that he has, and the technical ability, we see that he is one that will give us some variety going forward.”

Jamaica were drawn into Group A alongside CONCACAF Championship hosts Honduras, Guatemala, United States of America, Trinidad and Tobago and Cuba. Group B consists of Mexico, Canada, Costa Rica, Panama, St. Lucia and Haiti.

Four teams will automatically qualify for the FIFA World Cup set to occur in Chile in October 2015.
