ORLANDO, Fla. (April 12, 2019) - Orlando City B (0-2-0, 0 points) will face Tormenta FC (2-0-1, 7 points) on Sunday, April 14 at 5 p.m. ET at Montverde Academy.
Orlando City B has seen 23 of the 31 rostered players make their professional debut in the USL. Two of the 23 players, Brandon John and Matheus Martins Silva, have previously played in the USL. John has previously played for Seattle Sounders 2, while Silva played for Reno 1868 and Swope Park Rangers.
OCB seeks minutes from Juliano Chade, Ignacio Cubeddu, Thiago De Souza, Jahlane Forbes, Rafael Santos, Leonardo Silva Simas, Wilfred Williams and Juliano Chade.
Orlando City B has officially welcomed goalkeeper Juliano Chade, defender Leonardo Silva Simas, midfielder Rafael Santos and forward Thiago De Souza to Montverde. As the season opens, the Lions still await the arrival of defender John.
Despite falling 2-0 to Toronto FC II last week, the Young Lions seek to secure three points at home against Tormenta FC. In its first year back in the USL, OCB aims to showcase its talent by bringing fans and the Club its first win of the season on Sunday.
Goalkeeper Christian Herrera is third in the USL with saves (6) and Koby Osei-Wusu is currently leads all OCB players in goals scored.
Sunday’s match will be the first matchup with Tormenta FC of the season and OCB’s third in a four-game homestand. The Lions will host Forward Madison FC on Friday, April 19, then travel to Frisco where they face North Texas for their first away match of the season on April 27.
