Orlando City SC has traded midfielder Tony Rocha to New York City FC in exchange for a 2019 MLS SuperDraft fourth round pick. Following the 2018 MLS season, Rochaās option was not exercised; however, City retains the playerās rights through the end of the calendar year.
Rocha, 25, joined Orlando City B in 2015 and was signed to a First Team contract in August 2016. Rocha appeared in 23 matches for City, totaling four assists in 1,142 minutes.
Orlando City currently owns the No. 3, No. 27, No. 59, No. 75, No. 94 and No. 96 picks in the 2019 MLS SuperDraft presented by adidas, which will be held on Friday, Jan. 11 at McCormick Place in Chicago.
TRANSACTION: NYCFC trade its current 2019 Fourth Round SuperDraft pick (i.e. Orlandoās original 2019 Natural Fourth Round SuperDraft pick) for Tony Rocha.
