ORLANDO, Fla. (April 19, 2025) – Orlando City SC has signed defender Zakaria Taifi and midfielder Riyon Tori to short-term agreements, it was announced today. Taifi and Tori will be available for selection for Orlando City’s match against CF Montréal on Saturday, April 19, at Stade Saputo. That match is set to kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.
Tori was selected by Orlando City SC with the No. 83 overall pick in the 2024 MLS SuperDraft and signed an MLS NEXT Pro contract with Orlando City B on Feb. 27, 2025. The Japanese midfielder has made three appearances for OCB to date.
Taifi has started 21 matches in 42 appearances for OCB, scoring one goal and providing three assists. The defender is a product of the Orlando City Academy and served as captain of the team that won the U17 MLS NEXT Cup in 2021.
