Orlando City SC to Host Nashville SC in 2025 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Round of 16

ORLANDO, Fla. (May 8, 2025) – Orlando City SC is set to host Nashville SC in the Round of 16 of the 2025 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, with U.S. Soccer announcing the full Round of 16 schedule and broadcast details today. The Lions will host Nashville at Inter&Co Stadium on Wednesday, May 21, on Paramount+, with kickoff set for 7:30 p.m. ET.

Tickets for the match will go on sale to the general public on Friday, May 9, beginning at 1 p.m. ET. An exclusive pre-sale window for Season Ticket Members began at 1 p.m. ET today and will run through 1 p.m. ET tomorrow when general tickets go on sale.

Nashville SC currently ranks sixth in the Eastern Conference of MLS through the first 11 matches of the 2025 campaign, posting a 5-4-2 record for 17 points. The Tennessee-based side comes into the Round of 16 following a 1-0 win over USL League One side Chattanooga Red Wolves SC at GEODIS Park.

The Open Cup is the oldest ongoing soccer competition in the United States and had been played 106 consecutive years since 1913 until the cancellation of the 2020 edition.

City holds a 19-10-5 record in the competition dating back to the 2011 campaign. The Lions’ have a storied history in the competition, including winning the Club’s first trophy in its MLS era by claiming the 2022 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup with a 3-1 win over Sacramento Republic FC in the final, playing all six matches at Inter&Co Stadium, as well as the legendary “Running of the Wall” game against New York City FC at Inter&Co Stadium in 2019.
