ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando City Soccer Club announced today the signing of Defender Justin Clark, pending USSF approval. Clark is an alumnus of Rollins College, and was named a Division II All-American in his senior season with the Tars.
Clark joins Orlando City after a stellar career with the Tars. In his senior season alone, Clark was named to the All-Sunshine State Conference team, awarded the 2011 SSC Defender of the Year award, named to the NSCAA All-South Region team, and capped off the year with Third-Team All-America honors. In his junior season, Clark was part of the Rollins team that made it all the way to the Division II National Championship Game.
Clark has been a standout player for Orlando City during the 2012 preseason. His strong play culminated in a stellar performance against his former school. Clark scored the game-winning goal against Rollins in the preseason friendly on March 14, heading in a John Rooney free kick in the 16th minute.
Clark is the second Rollins alum to join Orlando City. Last season, Dennis Chin signed with the club following open tryouts and ended up being a critical part of the Orlando City roster.
