MLS NEXT U17: Lions secure three wins over Charlotte, Atlanta United and Toronto
It was a successful two weekends for the Young Lions in MLS NEXT play this past weekend as they managed three wins, one of them down a man.
After seeing a player sent off just before the first half ended, the U17s were still able to manage a 2-0 win over Charlotte FC, thanks to a brace from 15-year-old Gustavo Caraballo. Their second match against Atlanta United was a bit more straightforward, with Zinedine Rodriguez netting the lone goal in a 1-0 win.
A week later, the team traveled up to Toronto and took down the Canadian side, 1-0, thanks to the lone goal from Colin Guske.
With their result, the team has earned nine out of a possible nine points in MLS NEXT and has won eight out of their nine games this season.
Next weekend, the Young Lions will take on the New York Red Bulls out in New Jersey on Saturday, Oct. 28 at 10 a.m. ET.
