The State Cup is still on for Orlando City Soccer Club’s future youth teams. Both the boys and girls teams will advance in the tournament after another successful week of play. All six teams were victorious last week with wins over firm competition.
The boys CFK U-13 and U-14 squad will be advanced to the quarterfinals. After a hard fought 1-0 win over Kendall the boys U-13 team are set to take on the Melbourne Tsunami. The boys U-14 routed the competition winning 4-1 over Plantation. The U-14s take on West Pines in a make-up game for the quarterfinals.
Along with the boys teams, the Girls CFK U-13 squad also advanced to the quarterfinals after a 1-0 win over Tropical Soccer. The FSA Girls U-14 team will also be in the quarterfinals after a 3-0 victory over Creeks Class and are set to play FC Florida in a make-up match.
Last but not least, the CFK U-16 and U-17 girls teams will be playing in the final 4 after the U-16s routed their competition 5-1 while the U-17s retained a 1-0 lead to ensure victory over Big Sun.
