Another week of competition in the Florida State Cup has passed. Here are the following results of this last week’s competition. Lets see how our future youth teams did.
The CFK U-13 boys achieved a well-deserved win over Melbourne putting them into the final four. They will face Coral Gables in the first leg of the final four. The other teams include West Pasco and Pinecrest.
The CFK U-14 boys routed West Pines 6-0 placing them into the final four against Coral Gables. The other teams include Florida Rush and Sunrise.
Sadly the FSA U-14 squad would fall 1-6 to FC Florida. All other Central Florida teams in the U-15, U-16, U-17, or U-18 boys divisions will not appear in the following stages of the tournament.
The CFK U-13 girls squad achieved victory against Creek Clash 2-0. They will face by Jax United in the final four. Sunrise and FC America will also joining them in the final four.
The CFK girls U-16 are set to face FC America in the final four. West Florida and Westin will also be continuing in the tournament. The CFK U-17 also advanced into the final four and are set to face Ponte Vedra. Brandon and Pinecrest are also poised to continue in the tournament. The U-15 and U-18 girls squad will not be featuring in the competition any further.
In total CFK has five teams remaining in the tournament. All matches will be played on May 19-20. This is the final stretch so come out and support your young Lions!
