- MartÃn Ojeda needs three goals (all competitions) to tie Facundo Torres’ Orlando City club record of 47 career tallies. Ojeda is four assists away from Mauricio Pereyra’s club record, also 47.
- Daryl Dike’s next goal will be his 22nd for Orlando City, tying former teammate Chris Mueller for ninth on the club’s all-time scoring list.Â
- Marco Pašalić is two goals away from 20 for the club across all competitions, three behind Dike.

-Â Orlando City superstar Antoine Griezmann was at it again on Saturday night, scoring for the fourth time in his last three games to lift the Lions to a 1-0 victory over San Diego FC. Griezmann has 4g/2a in his last four matches and 5g/3a in his eight MLS appearances so far. Since adding Griezmann this summer, Orlando is 4-2-2 with a +5 goal differential in MLS play and has risen from 12th to 8th in the Eastern Conference.
- Half of Griezmann’s six goals in all competitions for Orlando have been assisted by teenage phenom Justin Ellis, who is up to 3g/9a in all competitions on the season after providing another helper for AG7 on Saturday night. Ellis is one assist behind Iván Angulo (10) for the team lead.
- Daryl Dike provided the secondary assist on Griezmann’s goal, his first assist since returning to Orlando City during the summer transfer window. Dike has a goal contribution (2g/1a) in each of his three starts for the Lions in 2026.
- The clean sheet was Orlando’s third of the 2026 MLS season, all coming since Griezmann joined the club. Orlando City has conceded just 10 goals in eight matches since Griezmann’s addition, knocking their goals allowed per game figure down from 2.93 before the World Cup to 1.25 after. Goalkeeper Maxime Crépeau has 37 saves and a .740 save percentage in 10 matches since the World Cup in all competitions.

Meet the opponent: Atlanta United
- Orlando City faces rival Atlanta United for the third time this season on Wednesday. The Lions destroyed the Five Stripes 4-1 in the clubs’ last meeting on May 19, a Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup quarterfinal matchup in which Orlando led 4-0 at halftime. Tiago scored a first half brace while David Brekalo and Griffin Dorsey also got on the scoresheet for Orlando.
- Atlanta has endured a miserable 2026 under legendary Argentine head coach Tata Martino, who returned to the club this offseason after winning MLS Cup with Atlanta in 2018. A recent 3-1-1 run has put the Five Stripes just five points outside the MLS Cup Playoffs, though, and reinforcements on both ends of the pitch have arrived.
- The biggest name addition for Atlanta this summer was Switzerland international striker Breel Embolo, who signed for a reported $18 million from Rennes despite heavy interest from other European clubs, including Ipswich Town in the English Premier League. Embolo drew and scored a penalty against Inter Miami in his Atlanta debut this past weekend.
- Atlanta also added on the back line, signing two new starting center backs in Paraguayan international Júnior Alonso and Chilean international Paulo DÃaz. The Five Stripes’ final move of the window was a loan signing of midfielder Giuliano Galoppo from River Plate, though the veteran has yet to debut for Atlanta.
