Opening statement
“I am disappointed, we want to win the games at home. At minimum you want to take a point away and to concede in the way we did at the end of the game it is frustrating and disappointing”
On the next game against Gotham
“There's always pressure any time you step onto the field. Pressure is a privilege, that's why we're all here. You want to feel the pressure, you want to feel that you need to win a game. We wouldn't be in this industry, we wouldn't be on the field if we didn't want to win. It builds character, you have to build character in these moments and our players will build character. Every moment that they go for, every minute that they spend on the field is going to build them to be the the players that we all believe in at the end of it. You have to go through these moments to to really identify who you are as well. It hurts and that's a good thing. It hurts to lose a game at home. It hurts to lose in front of your fans, but they're going to learn from it and they're going to get better for these moments. Listen, like I told him after the end of the game don't get used to this feeling because the the better moments are ahead of us. They're going to stick together. They are a young team. We all know that and these moments here will define us throughout the season. We're two games in as well so there's still a lot of games to play and I can never fault their effort. Their efforts is first class, you can see it. They're putting pressure on, they're putting players in uncomfortable positions and when we get the ball we have to capitalize on that and when it comes down to end product, the game is built on goals so we have to score in that moment and we have to obviously not concede as well.”
On Adriana's play
“In this game you can't be one dimensional so you can't just be a person who was on the field just to assist, you have to do both sides of the game. You have to defend as well, you have to attack, you have to score goals, you have to assist. It's not you're on the field just to do one job. For Adriana, you saw her quality today. She was unlucky on that shot in the first half, another inch it goes in and that's just where we are right now. She's a quality player and we want her on the field doing what she's good at. Dribbling and driving, taking shots, assisting players. She's got a lot of good qualities and just having her on the field is a pleasure for us to have her here at the Pride.”

On her first professional goal
“Yeah, I think just through the run of the play. Erika [Tymrak] played the through ball and at first, I didn't really see it, but I think I saw it in a good enough time to where I could make contact to the ball and really just keep my body steady and just driving through, doing what I do best. Being strong on the ball, holding it, and eventually creating a path for myself and I saw the keeper not really set and I just toe-poked it pretty early.”
On readying herself to come into the game unexpectedly
“I think just in those moments just wishing the full recovery for Julie [Doyle]. You just have to stay ready because anything can happen in this game and going in I just wanted to play for her and just play for my team and that's pretty much just what I did. Taking my performance from the last game that we had and just letting bygones be bygones and just doing what I need to do as a nine.”
On how scoring affects her confidence going forward
“Yeah, I think it amps my confidence up a whole lot. I didn't get the opportunity to score last game so just being able to score here at home in front of an awesome crowd, it's always going to amp up and just get me ready for the next game to prepare.”

On thoughts of the game
“Yeah, obviously, we're really disappointed with that result. I thought we controlled the game and we thought we had a lot of chances and that's on us to finish them. But the positives are that we did possess the game and we did control the game and we had the chances, but we have to be ruthless in front of goal and in both boxes. To get scored on the last play of the game, it hurts, but we got to learn from it, we got to grow. It’s super early in the season, this is a long season so we’ve just got to keep moving forward.”
On the growth of the group from the last game
“I'll tell you that no one wants to feel that way, that when you get scored on in the 89th minute or in stoppage time, that's one big takeaway that I can guarantee you no one's going to want to feel like that again. But we do just have to keep moving. We had the chances in the box. I thought we had good crosses in, we had some good through balls and it's just on us to finish those. I think we can be a little tidier with the ball as well, but I think we did a good job. We stretched them, we played through the midfield. We just have to clean it up, fine tune some details and I think we just have to look on to the next game."
On how she progressed in the game
“This is such a long season with so many versatile players, but this is my 11th year in the league and if I've learned one thing, it's you have to stay ready no matter what. Regardless what your role is you’ve got to keep doing film. You have got to keep doing extras, all that. I do feel like as the game went on, we were building momentum. I think the biggest thing was we were winning tackles and 50/50s in the midfield. I'm pretty sure Kylie [Strom] made the tackle, I picked it off and played Messiah [Bright] through and that's how we scored, so another positive. It's frustrating because I did feel like we had the momentum at the end of the game and that's just unfortunate.”
