Following the prestigious U.S. Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program’s Thanksgiving Interregional, Orlando City ECNL players Naomi Powell, Amanda Martin and Ashlynn Serepca were named to the All-star team for their outstanding performances.
In addition, Sydney Spruill earned top goal scorer honors for the 1998 Region III age group, finishing three times.
Featuring over 400 players, the Thanksgiving Interregional took place on Nov. 22-27 at Spanish River Athletic Park and Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Fla.
After the event, Orlando City Youth Soccer Girls’ Academy Director Alan Hough commended the players for their exceptional efforts.
“Congratulations to all of our players who participated in the Thanksgiving Interregional,” said Hough. “All of our players, especially the individuals who were recognized, did a fantastic job of representing Orlando City to the highest order.”
