Orlando City hits the road for their last two game road swing of the season. Their trip begins in the nations capital, as they get ready to face eastern conference rival D.C. United for the first time this season.
The Venue
D.C. United plays all of their home matches at RFK Stadium and have been doing so since the teams debut in 1996. This stadium has seen it’s fair share of soccer events including hosting MLS Cups, is the site of where David Beckham made his MLS debut, Open Cups Finals, MLS All-Star Game and the 1996 summer Olympics.
D.C. United has three recognized supporter groups: Screaming Eagles, Barra Brava and District Ultras

Things to Do
National Mall
Thirteen years after being authorized, a decade after its site was selected, and almost four years after concrete was first poured, the Smithsonian's National Museum of African American History & Culture finally opens on the National Mall. This is a big deal. To mark the occasion, the museum will host three days of programming: Friday’s festival will be highlighted by musical performances, spoken word, and oral histories, and on Saturday morning, President Obama and other dignitaries will dedicate the museum and officially open its doors.
DC Ghost Tours
Given that this is a city with a long, complicated history, there have to be a few ghosts roving around the city, right? Hear about conspiracies, assassinations, and murders that took place right where you're walking. This may seem like a Halloween activity, but honestly, ghost tours are even more fun during seasons when spookiness isn't the standard. Tickets are $17 a pop for adults.
Mount Vernon
Visit the plantation house of Georgie Washington, first president of the United States and his wife, Martha Dandridge. While you’re there you will also see a host of colonial era buildings, gardens, a working distillery and gristmill. There are also tours that you can go on that also include Old Town Alexandria and the Arlington Cemetery.

Astro Doughnuts & Fried Chicken
There are two big decisions to make at Astro. Do you go sweet or savory? Cake or yeast? Start your two-part guilty pleasure meal with an Old Bay fried chicken sandwich on a savory donut bun before moving onto dessert. Showtime is one of the city’s most beloved dive bars, and might even be one of the best in the country. The go-to drink at this cash-only watering hole is the timeless $5 "Comb’oh" -- a can of Natty Boh and a whiskey back. For a dollar more, you can grab a shot of tequila and wash it back with a Tecate.
Hank’s Oyster Bar
Elbow past the lobbyists and lawmakers to grab a spot at the bar, where select oysters are $1.25 each from 3 to 7pm Monday through Saturday, and from 3pm to close on Sundays. Pair these with their $4-5 wine, punch, and beer. Check out their regular menu, too -- especially the lobster roll with Old Bay fries and the New England-style clam chowder.
