Here are five storylines to watch for Saturday's Leagues Cup matchup against Club León:
First at Inter.co Stadium
2018 FIFA World Cup winner Antoine Griezmann opened the scoring in Orlando City’s win over C.F. Monterrey, volleying in a Tyrese Spicer cross at the near post for his first goal at Inter.co Stadium. The French international’s finish was his second across all competitions since his summer arrival from Atlético de Madrid and helped lead the Lions to their first win of Leagues Cup 2026.
Mild, Medium and Spicer
Tyrese Spicer continued his strong run of form in Orlando City’s 2-1 Leagues Cup win over C.F. Monterrey, assisting Griezmann’s opening goal before earning and converting a second-half penalty kick to double the Lions’ advantage. The forward has tallied five goal contributions, three goals and two assists, over Orlando City’s last three matches across all competitions. His six goals in all competitions rank second on the team behind Designated Player Martín Ojeda (11).
A Tale of Two Lions
The Lions’ matchup with Club León will mark the first meeting between the two clubs, with Orlando City set to face Liga MX opposition for the 14th time across all competitions. Orlando City enters the match following a 2-1 win over C.F. Monterrey in its Leagues Cup 2026 opener and owns a 4W-2L-7D record against Mexican clubs.
Familiar Face in Purple
Daryl Dike made his first appearance for Orlando City since rejoining the club this summer, marking his first match for the Lions since the Audi 2021 MLS Cup Playoffs after a move to West Bromwich Albion F.C. in January 2022. The forward scored 19 goals and added seven assists in 41 appearances across all competitions during his first stint with Orlando, including a team-leading 11 goals in 2021 across all competitions.
Back in the Fold

The Croatian international, who represented his country at the FIFA World Cup 2026™, has recorded two goals in 11 appearances across all competitions this season and 17 goals across all competitions since joining the Lions ahead of their 2025 campaign.
