What to watch, powered by Verizon, as Orlando City face the New England Revolution on the road

Here are five storylines to watch for Saturday's matchup at New England:

Chasing Club History 

Martín Ojeda continued his standout 2026 campaign on Wednesday night, scoring Orlando City's lone goal in its Open Cup semifinal match at Columbus. The strike was his 12th goal across all competitions this season and the 45th of his Orlando City career, leaving him two shy of matching Facundo Torres' club-record 47 goals. Ojeda is also closing in on another club mark, entering the weekend with 44 career assists, three behind Mauricio Pereyra's all-time record of 47. 

Ojeda's Production 

Orlando City continues to see production from Martín Ojeda in 2026. His goal against Columbus marked his 12th tally across all competitions this season, adding to another productive year for the Argentine. Ojeda enters Saturday's match ranked second in club history in both goals and assists, continuing his climb toward multiple Orlando City records. 

Ellis Nears MLS Mark 

Justin Ellis added another assist to his growing résumé on Wednesday, providing the setup on Ojeda's goal against Columbus. The assist was Ellis' 12th across all competitions this season and moved him into sole possession of the most assists in Orlando City history. Ellis (10) also enters the weekend one assist away from matching the MLS single-season assists record by a teenager (11), a mark set by Alphonso Davies in 2018 and matched earlier this year by Cavan Sullivan. 

Stoppage-Time Thriller 

Saturday's match marks the first meeting between Orlando City and New England Revolution since the sides produced one of the most dramatic matches of the season in April. Orlando defeated New England 4-3 in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Round of 16, advancing after repeatedly battling back to level the match before scoring the game-winner in second-half stoppage time. The victory helped launch the Lions' run to the Open Cup semifinals.

Orlando City returns to MLS play after its U.S. Open Cup run came to an end with a 2-1 loss at Columbus Crew on Wednesday night. The Lions enter the weekend sixth in the Eastern Conference standings and unbeaten in five consecutive league matches as they resume their push towards a seventh consecutive Audi MLS Cup Playoffs appearance.
