Here are five storylines to watch for Saturday's matchup at Chicago Fire FC:
50 and CountingÂ
MartÃn Ojeda added another milestone to his club-record career in Orlando City’s last outing, scoring his 17th goal of the season across all competitions to become the first player in club history to reach 50 goals for the Lions. The Argentine continues to pace Orlando City in scoring in 2026 and is now one goal away from tying Cyle Larin’s 2015 campaign for the most MLS regular-season goals in a single season in club history with 17. Ojeda is also one goal away from tying Larin’s club record of 43 MLS regular-season goals.Â
Leveling the LegendÂ
With an assist on Antoine Griezmann’s goal in the Lions’ last match, MartÃn Ojeda recorded the 47th assist of his Orlando City career across all competitions, tying former captain Mauricio Pereyra for the most in club history. The helper was Ojeda’s fifth assist of the 2026 campaign and moved him into a share of another major club record. An assist against Chicago would see Ojeda move into sole possession of first place on Orlando City’s all-time assists list.Â
Grizi Stays HotÂ
Antoine Griezmann continued his remarkable start to life in MLS in the Lions’ last outing, scoring his 13th league goal of the season and extending his streak of MLS matches with a goal contribution to 11. Since arriving in Orlando in July, the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner has recorded 21 goal contributions, scoring 14 goals and adding seven assists, in just 19 appearances across all competitions. Griezmann also became the first player in MLS history to record a goal contribution in 13 of his first 15 league matches and the second-fastest player in league history to reach 20 goal contributions.Â
A Historic RunÂ
The Lions enter Wednesday’s meeting with Chicago carrying a club-record scoring streak that now stands at 24 consecutive matches across all competitions. Orlando City has scored in every match since late May and has consistently found production throughout its lineup during the stretch, with contributions coming from Designated Players, Homegrown talents and key veterans alike. The streak is the longest in club history and will be on the line at Soldier Field.Â
Record WatchÂ
Wednesday’s match could see two of Orlando City’s biggest attacking records either tied or broken by MartÃn Ojeda and Antoine Griezmann. Ojeda enters the match tied with Mauricio Pereyra for the most assists in club history and on the verge of matching Cyle Larin’s single-season and career MLS regular-season scoring marks. Griezmann, meanwhile, can tie Ojeda’s club record of 12 consecutive MLS regular-season matches with a goal contribution. Since joining Orlando City in July, Griezmann and Ojeda have combined for 30 goal contributions across all competitions while helping lead the Lions to a club-record scoring streak.
