Here are five storylines to watch for Saturday's match as the Lions host the Canadian side:

Looking to Crack Double Digits

With his pair of assists in the Lions’ 2-2 draw with Charlotte last weekend, midfielder Martín Ojeda became just the third player in Orlando City history to record at least 50 MLS goal contributions, joining former Lions stars Facundo Torres (57) and Nani (51). Ojeda now enters Saturday night’s match just one goal away from becoming the third player in club history to record double-digit goals and assists in a single MLS season; only Nani (2019) and Torres (2022) have reached this milestone, as well. Ojeda currently has nine goals and 10 assists across all competitions in 2025. One more goal would not only secure his place in club history but also match his total goal contributions from the 2024 season (20). The Argentine international is also closing in on teammate and fellow Designated Player Marco Pašalić, who leads the team with 11 goals in all competitions.

Excuse my French

Orlando City enters Saturday’s match riding a five-game unbeaten streak against CF Montréal across all competitions dating back to September 2023. The Lions are also undefeated in their last five home matches against Montréal at Inter&Co Stadium across all competitions, a run that stretches back to October 2021. Since their last loss in the series in May 2023, Orlando has recorded two wins and three draws, boasting a +8 goal differential during that span. After a scoreless draw at Stade Saputo in April, the Lions will aim to secure all three points this time around and extend their unbeaten run against the Canadian side to six matches.

Approaching 200

Saturday night could mark a major milestone for veteran defender Kyle Smith, as he stands just one appearance away from his 200th for Orlando City across all competitions. If he features against CF Montréal, Smith will become just the second player in club history to reach the 200-appearance mark, joining captain Robin Jansson in that exclusive club. Since arriving ahead of the 2019 season, Smith has contributed five goals and 11 assists over seven seasons with the Lions, totaling 16 goal contributions from the back line.

Back from International Duty

Defender Alex Freeman returns to the squad and will be available for selection in Saturday’s match against CF Montréal following his standout performance with the U.S. Men’s National Team at the 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup. Freeman started every match for the U.S. during the tournament, including the final against Mexico, becoming the first player age 20 or younger to start six consecutive Gold Cup matches for the USMNT. The homegrown talent and Academy product made his senior national team debut on June 7 against Türkiye, earning a spot in the Starting XI. So far in 2025, Freeman has made 19 appearances for Orlando City across all competitions, tallying four goals and two assists.

Finding His Form

With his goal in last Saturday’s draw against Charlotte FC, forward Ramiro Enrique reached 23 career goals for Orlando City, moving into seventh place on the club’s all-time scoring list. The Argentine international is now just one goal behind Dom Dwyer (6th) and two behind club legend Kaká (5th). Enrique has been in strong form recently, scoring four goals in his last six matches, including a brace in a 4-2 win over St. Louis CITY SC in late June. In total, he has recorded seven goals and two assists across all competitions in 2025.

Milestone Tracker:

-Kyle Smith is just one appearance away from becoming the second player in Orlando City history to reach 200 all-time appearances across all competitions.

-Ramiro Enrique is now tied with Dom Dwyer for sixth on the club’s all-time scoring list with 23 goals, and is just one goal away from matching Kaká in fifth.

-Martín Ojeda needs one more goal to become only the third player in club history to record double-digit goals and assists in a single season.
