ORLANDO, Fla. (Nov. 19, 2025) – Orlando City B announced today that it has exercised the contract option for head coach Manuel Goldberg ahead of the 2026 MLS NEXT Pro season. The upcoming campaign will mark Goldberg’s fifth year with OCB, two as an assistant coach and three as head coach.
“Since taking over the role as head coach of OCB, Manu has done a tremendous job connecting with our MLS NEXT Pro players, developing their skillsets and preparing them for opportunities with the First Team and beyond,” said Orlando City SC General Manager & Sporting Director Ricardo Moreira. “His deep understanding of our player pathway and internal processes has been invaluable. The continuity Manu provides is critical for the career development of both our players and staff.”
Under Goldberg’s leadership, Orlando City B has seen young talent progress through the Club’s developmental pathway, including homegrown players Gustavo Caraballo and Zakaria Taifi, who signed First Team contracts. Caraballo notably became the youngest player in Club history to sign with Orlando City SC in March.
In recent months, Academy products Justin Ellis, Clovis Archange, Dylan Judelson and Jackson Platts have all signed MLS NEXT Pro contracts with OCB, underscoring the strength of the Club’s scouting and development system.
Goldberg, 32, was named OCB Head Coach on March 11, 2024, after two seasons as an assistant, becoming the youngest head coach in MLS NEXT Pro history at the time. Over his two seasons in charge, he has guided the team to a combined record of 20-21-15, including an appearance in the 2024 MLS NEXT Pro Playoffs.
