NEW YORK, NEW YORK (October 20, 2023) – MLS NEXT Pro announced today that Orlando City B forward Jack Lynn has been named the 2023 MLS NEXT Pro Most Valuable Player, presented by adidas, for his stellar season with the Young Lions.

The MVP award is the culmination of a recent wave of League-wide recognitions for Lynn, who also claimed a share of the **2023 Golden Boot title** alongside Rémi Cabral (Colorado Rapids 2) and MD Myers (NYCFC II) after scoring 19 goals during the regular season. Lynn was also named to the League’s **Best XI** list for the second year in a row.

Lynn was a key factor in Orlando City B’s success this season, leading the Club to their first playoff appearance in MLS NEXT Pro (13-10-5, 46 points, No. 5 seed - East). He was among the League leaders in goals-per 90-minutes average (0.97), while scoring 16 goals within the 18-yard box. The 23-year-old played in all but one of his Club’s 28 matches (20 starts).

Lynn earned Goal of the Matchday honors for a perfectly placed header against Chicago Fire II in Matchday 18. He had five multi-goal games this season for Orlando City B, recording braces against Atlanta United 2 (5/29/2023), FC Cincinnati 2 (07/02/2023), Chicago Fire II (07/23/2023), NYCFC II (8/13/2023), and Crown Legacy FC (9/3/2023).  He also made three appearances for Orlando City SC during the 2023 MLS season.

Lynn’s performance in 2023 continued to build upon his successful 2022 season, when he was named MVP finalist, Golden Boot runner up (15 goals) and member of the Best XI.  With 34 total goals over the course of MLS NEXT Pro’s first two seasons, Lynn is the leading scorer in League history.

The other finalists for 2023 MLS NEXT Pro MVP presented by adidas were: Atlanta United 2’s Nick Firmino, Colorado Rapids 2’s Oliver Larraz, and NYCFC II’s MD Myers. Regular season awards were voted on by the head coaches and Chief Soccer Officers at MLS NEXT Pro Clubs as well as League content and broadcast teams.
