ORLANDO, Fla. (July 1, 2024) — Orlando Pride goalkeeper Anna Moorhouse has earned her first call-up to England’s senior national team, it was announced today. Moorhouse is set to represent the Lionesses as they get ready to play two qualifiers for the UEFA EURO 2025.
Moorhouse has seven clean sheets so far this season, which leads all NWSL goalkeepers through 15 matches. Last season, Moorhouse broke the Club record for most clean sheets in a single season, which she tied with Sunday’s shutout at Angel City FC, and the most saves made in a season with 72. The Oldham, England native has made 48 saves this year, which is third most amongst goalkeepers in the NWSL.
Moorhouse and the Pride will travel to Kansas City Current on Saturday, July 6 for what will be a meeting of the league’s two lone undefeated sides. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET at CPKC Stadium, with the match available on ION.
The goalkeeper will join England following the match.
