ORLANDO, Fla. (Aug. 27, 2026) – The Orlando Pride and goalkeeper Cara Martin have agreed to a new contract through the 2028 NWSL season, with a mutual option for 2029, it was announced today.

“Since joining the Pride as a rookie out of college, Cara has continued to show the qualities we look for in a goalkeeper at this level,” said Caitlin Carducci, Orlando Pride VP of Soccer Operations & General Manager. “She has embraced every opportunity to learn and develop, and we believe she has the potential to become an impact player in the NWSL. She has a very bright future ahead, and we're excited to see her continue to grow here in Orlando.”

Martin, 22, joined the Pride ahead of the 2026 season after signing her first professional contract with the Club in January following a standout collegiate career at Georgetown University.

At Georgetown, Martin earned BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Year honors in consecutive seasons and was named a United Soccer Coaches Third Team All-American as a senior. In her final season with the Hoyas, she started all 23 matches, recorded eight shutouts and made 59 saves while also earning All-BIG EAST First Team, All-East Region First Team and CSC Academic All-District honors.
