1. Make it seven wins in a row for the Orlando Pride. A battle in Seattle saw the Pride take a 2-0 lead, concede twice and manage to get the lead back to take a 3-2 win over the Reign.
2. Barbra Banda's legend continues to grow, as her two goals helped propel the Pride to the win. The forward now has six goals in six games, as well as two assists. She has been an absolute menace for opposing defenses and proved tonight, once again, why everyone in the NWSL should fear her driving towards goal.
3. Tonight marked the first time this season that Banda, Adriana and Marta all started together. It's wild to think how potent the offense has been over the past seven games, yet the strongest offensive lineup for the Pride have yet to start altogether. Glimpses were shown of their link-up play, with Marta and Adriana assisting on Banda's first goal of the night. Now that link-up will only get more dangerous and potent as the season goes on.
4. Take a bow, Emily Sams! The defender scored her first NWSL goal in style, helping the Pride open their scoring on the day. Not only did she score from outside the box, but she took the shot with her non-dominant left foot, beating the keeper on the near post.
5. Another wild fact from Sams' super strike is that the goal she scored is the first goal that Banda hadn't had an involvement in since joining the team. Whether scoring, assisting, drawing penalties or having her shot deflected to another Pride player, Banda has had a hand in every single goal scored since she began starting for the Pride. All except for Sams' golazo.
6. It was a first for the Pride in Seattle. Not just scoring three goals at Lumen Field, but also winning there. The confines of the Reign's home stadium have been very unfriendly to Orlando over the years, including a 2022 season finale match that saw the Reign win the regular season by beating the Pride. This game expelled a lot of those demons for both the Pride and for Seb Hines, who was coaching the team for that game.
7. Not only did the Pride get that win, but it marked their seventh straight, tying a decade-long record set back in 2014 by, funnily enough, the Seattle Reign. Orlando now sit atop the NWSL standings and will prepare for their next match looking to break that record.
8. With that next match, the Pride will host one of the hottest teams in the league right now, the Portland Thorns, on Friday as they look for a record-breaking eighth straight win. It will be the first time two teams in NWSL that are on four-plus match winning streaks, since Portland have won six straight. The top-tier showdown will kickoff at 7 p.m. ET at INTER&Co Stadium on May 24.
