1. The most dominant win in Orlando Pride history. Not only did they score the most goals they ever have in a game, but that 6-0 win marks the largest margin of victory in team history. So far this season, this team has been a level above their opponents, but tonight marked yet another level up from the team sitting in first place in the league.
2. Barbra Banda, need I say more?
3. Well, I will. The Zambian opened the scoring with a backpost header in the 27th minute. She followed it up with a moment of individual brilliance in the 86th minute, speeding down the line and rounding the keeper. Banda also added two late assists, one to Marta in the 88th minute and one to Ally Watt in the 90+5 minute. Her combined two goals and two assists on the night now have her at 15 total goal contributions so far this season, and adding the cherry on top, she became the first player in NWSL history to score 10 goals in her first 10 games.
4. While Barbra was an absolutely dominant force, Marta was equally authoritative in her play. Both of her goals came with extreme difficulty, with the first on a half-volley from outside the box just a minute after halftime. Her second came late in the game, with Banda feeding her at the penalty spot, and after a quick touch, she took a quick strike with her right to beat Haught. Both Marta and Banda would later combine on the team's sixth goal as well. It truly shows how in sync the two stars for the Pride have gotten. And it still feels like they're only scratching the surface of what they can do.
5. Another game, another Anna Moorhouse shutout tonight, her sixth of the season. While she only had one or two tough saves, she commanded her box well and was very good with her distribution down the field, at one point finding Julie Doyle with an absolute dime down the field. The shutout also ties her team-record of shutouts with six, and there's still 12 games left in the season.
6. It's the Summer of Yates here in Orlando as the Pride midfielder found her fourth goal of the season and her first since back in April. Yates has been one of the unsung heroes in the midfield for the Pride this season, with her strong ability to keep possession of the ball and drive into the teeth of the defense. For all her hard work, it was good she could be rewarded with a goal to her name.
7. Ally Watt put the cherry on top with her goal, after a great technical finish in the box off Banda's cross in the 90+5 minute. It was just her second of the season, but the forward has been impactful with her pace, terrorizing the backline throughout the season. Much like Yates, getting a goal to her credit felt like a just reward for her play.
8. This game was not just a win for the Pride, but a win for the Orlando community. On Pride in Our City night, being able to bring so much joy to the city on a night that remembered one of the darkest in Orlando's history felt like a perfect way to honor the 49 people that lost their lives back on June 12, 2016.
