The Story:
- Historically, the Pride have enjoyed traveling to Los Angeles to take on 2022 expansion side Angel City FC. In the series’ history, the home side has never won a match, with the Pride having won both road matches against Angel City.
- Both teams played to a 1-1 draw earlier in the season at INTER&Co Stadium. The Pride were backed by a late goal that leveled the match from Marta in the 88th minute.
- With two goals and two assists in the team’s last match against Utah, Barbra Banda reached 10 goals on the year and became just the second player in Pride history to score 10 or more goals in a single season after Marta had 13 in 2017.
Quote of the Week:
"Another difficult game on the road. I think where they [Angel City FC] stand isn't a reflection of their performances. They’ve had good performances and haven’t gotten the results. It's going to be another game that's a challenge for us. I think if we play our best, and we have good momentum right now, we’ll go out there and give absolutely everything and hopefully get the result we deserve.”
- Head Coach Seb Hines
