Quote of the Week:
“Going back to the game, we felt that the way we conceded our goals was disappointing and going down 2-0 early on in the game. With the situation and scenario that was presented to us, I thought the players did extremely well to battle and earn a hard-fought point towards the end. If you reflect back on last year, I think we may not have gotten to that point at this stage of the season. I was really pleased. I was pleased for Summer [Yates] getting her first professional goal and Amanda Allen getting her first professional assist also. You look at towards the end of the game and we had a lot of young players out there and they fought hard and battled hard and managed to see it through. Really pleased with that and obviously we are looking forward to our home opener against Angel City on Friday. Hoping to get a good crowd out there and use the energy of the crowd to put Angel City under pressure right from kickoff and play our regular game.”
