The Story:
- The match against the Royals will serve as the second matchup between the two sides this season. The Pride and Royals faced off back in April with the Pride earning a 1-0 victory over the 2024 expansion side at America First Field.
- The Pride continued their historic start to the season by breaking another NWSL record in the last match against the North Carolina Courage. With the scoreless draw, the Pride became the first team in NWSL history to go 11 consecutive matches without trailing at any point.
- Goalkeeper Anna Moorhouse and the rest of the Pride defense earned their fifth clean sheet of the season against the Courage, which is tied for the most in the NWSL this season.
Quote of the Week:
“We're excited to be back at home in front of our fans. It's been a while, so it's exciting. Friday night should be nice, should be good. After Utah's last result, we can't take them for granted. We have to be on top of our game. After the game against North Carolina, we were disappointed not to come away with three points, but the performance was terrific. Their attitude, the commitment going into an environment like that. I am proud of them, and I was really impressed with the players. So we have to continue with that same attitude, same mentality against Utah and hopefully get a couple of goals and the three points.”
- Head Coach Seb Hines

Pride in Our City Weekend
Friday's match will kick off the Club's "Pride in Our City" weekend, with back-to-back home games celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community and remembering the victims of the 2016 Pulse nightclub tragedy. The Pride will play on Friday night, with Orlando City following vs. Chicago on Saturday night in downtown Orlando. Both matches will feature rainbow from Fan Zone to game production, including the Orlando Gay Chorus singing both the national anthem and a halftime performance.
Rainbow Numbers
The Pride will wear limited-edition rainbow numbers on the back of their jerseys on Friday night. Following the match, the game-worn jerseys will be auctioned off to raise money for The Center, a local non-profit whose goal is to promote and empower the LGBT community and its allies through advocacy, education, information, and support.
Pride in Every Color Collection
Fans will be able to purchase a limited run merchandise line at INTER&Co Stadium, designed and screen printed by hand by University of Central Florida professor Ashley Taylor.
