Know Your Opponent | Houston Dash

know your opponent: dash 2018 pt 2

The Pride returns home after a brief road trip to Washington where the team won 1-0 courtesy of a golazo off the foot of Alanna Kennedy. The team now will turn their attention to Wednesday’s match at home against the Houston Dash. Here is what you need to know about the visitors:

New Faces

We’ve seen Houston already this year but they have a new look to them after a blockbuster trade last week. Joining H-Town’s squad are forward Sofia Huerta and midfielder Taylor Comeau. Huerta adds instant firepower with her four goals and two assists this year.

Team Form

Houston currently sits in seventh in the NWSL table with 14 points from 13 games played. Not ideal, but they have found some success in their last four outings. The club has taken two wins and a draw in their last four meetings which gave them as many points as their first nine games of the season combined.

Head-to-Head

The Pride are 5-2-0 all-time versus Houston. The Dash has only managed one win in Orlando in four tries with the lone win coming last season. The two teams have been more even of late as they’ve alternated wins in the last four meetings.
