The Pride returns to Orlando City Stadium after a 15-day break to face Sky Blue FC. The team welcomes back eight players who were with their national teams in the 2018 Tournament of Nations. A victory against Sky Blue in this Sunday’s 7:30 p.m. meeting plus a combination of favorable results could earn the Pride the second spot in the table. Here is everything you need to know about Sky Blue FC:

Who is Hot

You should always be worried about a player who scored a hat-trick in a FIFA World Cup Final. Veteran Carli Lloyd is not only Sky Blue FC’s Captain but also the stats leader of the squad. The 2015 and 2016 FIFA Player of the Year leads her team in shots (34), shots on goal (15) and goals (three). The Pride also has to be careful with Savannah McCaskill. The forward has three goals and three assists on the season and gave the team problems in their first meeting of the season.

Team Form

Sky Blue FC is having a 2018 NWSL season to forget so far. They have a 0-3-13 record, including four consecutive losses most recently. On this current losing streak, they scored only four goals and allowed twelve. They also have the worst goal differential in the league with -20 (Only 12 goals scored and 32 allowed).

Head-to-Head

The two teams have already faced each other this season. The Pride defeated Sky Blue 3-2 at Orlando City Stadium. On the occasion, Sydney Leroux scored twice and Rachel Hill had the game-winning goal.

This will be the Pride’s seventh overall match against Sky Blue FC. The Pride has the advantage: 3-2-1. The last time Sky Blue FC defeated the Pride was in May of 2017, at Yurcak Field. Since then, they played three times and the Pride won all three, scoring 11 times and suffering only four goals.
