Orlando City SC Acquires 2027 MLS SuperDraft Third Round Selection from Nashville SC

ORLANDO, Fla. (Jan. 7, 2026) – Orlando City SC has acquired Nashville SC’s natural third-round selection in the 2027 MLS SuperDraft in exchange for the Right of First Refusal (ROFR) on midfielder Shak Mohammed. Under Major League Soccer’s Right of First Refusal (ROFR) rule, if another MLS club wishes to sign Mohammed, it must first acquire his rights from Nashville SC.  

Orlando City previously announced it had declined Mohammed’s contract option following the conclusion of the 2025 season.

TRANSACTION: Orlando City SC acquires Nashville SC’s natural third-round selection in the 2027 MLS SuperDraft in exchange for the Right of First Refusal (ROFR) on midfielder Shak Mohammed.
