ORLANDO, Fla. (Dec. 11, 2018) - Orlando City SC has acquired a natural fourth round pick in the 2019 MLS SuperDraft from the New York Red Bulls in exchange for defender Amro Tarek.
Tarek, 26, joined the Lions on loan in February 2018. The Egyptian center back made 20 appearances for City, scoring one goal on Aug. 4 against New England. In June, City exercised the option to transfer Tarek’s rights to Orlando.
The 2019 MLS SuperDraft presented by adidas will take place on Friday, Jan. 11, at Chicago’s McCormick Place. Expansion side FC Cincinnati will have the first overall selection.
Orlando City currently owns the No. 3, No. 27, No. 59, No. 94 and No. 96 picks in the 2019 SuperDraft.
