The annual Orlando City Foundation’s holiday Toy Drive was a massive success in 2015 with over 3,500 toys donated by City supporters. A number of local organizations will benefit from the donations, including New Image Youth Center, Kids House Seminole, Howards Phillips Center for Children & Families and several others.
The toys donated included fishing poles, remote controlled cars, puzzles and science sets. Additionally, this year’s drive raised nearly 1,500 more toys than the 2014 edition.
Collection partner FAIRWINDS Credit Union collected nearly 1,000 toys at their Central Florida locations, significantly helping the drive designed to provide holiday presents for children aged 0-16.
“We’re very pleased with how many toys were donated by our caring and giving supporters,” said Foundation President Kay Rawlins. “Also, a special thanks to our partner FAIRWINDS Credit Union for their participation in this year’s drive. Their contribution, along with the efforts of our supporters, will certainly help to provide a happy holiday season for a number of children in Central Florida.”
