5. Expansion Rivalry, August 28th
Orlando City and New York City FC were both in their inaugural season last year and with an even series at 1-1-1, Orlando City looks to take over the budding rivalry in their only home meeting on August 28th. Orlando fans will also see Andre Pirlo for the first time in the Orlando Citrus Bowl. Pirlo missed the last game between Orlando City and NYCFC due to injury.

4. Setting the Tone Against Montreal, May 21st
Orlando CIty looks to set the tone in their first home matchup against the Impact on May 21st. With a playoff spot on the line, the clubs had an impassioned game late last season. This potential rivalry should provide fans with a heated and emotional game as both teams look to get a leg up early in the season.

3. Showdown with Seattle, August 7th
After a tough loss last season in Seattle, Orlando City looks to even the series with their only game against the west coast powerhouse on August 7th. With the return of Kevin Molino among other additions, this showdown looks to be a battle between the soccer capitals of the West and East coasts.

2. Defending Champs Portland Timbers Head to Orlando, April 3rd
Last season Orlando City made their mark in Portland as they beat the Timbers 2-0, Portland then went on to win the MLS Cup. As the defending champs make their way into the Citrus Bowl, the Lions expect to make their mark once again against the Timbers in The City Beautiful.

1. Home Opener against Real Salt Lake, March 6th
A sea of purple fans, 62,510 to be exact, filled the Citrus Bowl during last year’s home opener against New York FC. The same thing could very well happen again during the 2016 home opener against Real Salt Lake on March 6th. The club will be hosting its second annual Kick Off Week, including the Pride 5k on March 3rd and 2nd Annual Orlando City Pub Crawl on March 5th. The biggest regret we heard from fans last year? They missed the home opener.
