Supporters have an opportunity to take home some cold hard cash on match day at the Orlando Citrus Bowl through the Orlando City Foundation 50/50 Drawing of Chance program.
From the moment the gates open up to 70 minutes before kickoff, supporters can purchase raffle ticket donations of 3 tickets for $5, 10 for $10 and 40 for $20. Fifty percent of all proceeds raised at each home game through this program are awarded to one lucky fan and the remaining fifty percent benefit the Orlando City Foundation.
Bevan Hastic, from Trinidad & Tobago, was the winner of $3,675 raised through 50/50 Drawing of Chance during the Lions’ inaugural Major League Soccer (MLS) match on March 8. Bevan has been attending games since 2011 and was part of the Caribbean rhythm section playing steel pan out at the tailgate and during the game.
Supporters can purchase raffle tickets at four different kiosks located throughout the ground level of the stadium and from multiple groups of representatives walking in the fan zone and the stadium. Representatives can be identified by their neon yellow hats and Orlando City Foundation aprons.
The winning ticket number will be announced at the end of the game. The winning number will be displayed on the Orlando City website, 50/50 raffle monitors and the venue video display monitors. Follow the Club on Twitter at @OrlandoCitySC for the announcement as well.
Presented by the Orlando City Foundation, the 50/50 Drawing of Chance is one of the many ways the Club has integrated itself into the Central Florida community, nourishing a culture that strives to not only kick the ball on the field, but also kicks it back to the community. In 2014, through all of its events, the Orlando City Foundation raised over $177,000, which goes to programs that directly benefit the community.
The winning 50/50 ticket is the only valid receipt for claiming the prize and may be redeemed by reaching out to the Orlando City Foundation at 407-480-4756 or via email at joconnor@orlandocitysc.com.
